Florence H. Spangler, 90, of Conemaugh Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2018 after an extensive illness. Her body will be laid to rest with her husband in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Flo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was loved dearly by her family, friends and neighbors. Besides preparing home-made pizza and cinnamon rolls for her birthday bunch, she would bake something every week so she could have a "bite". But in all reality, the baked goodies were for her "lawn boy" and beloved hair stylist .... you know who you are. After 30 years in the banking business, she retired from Clovis National Bank which gave her the opportunity to travel. She loved life!
Flo is survived by her children Richard (Charline) Spangler, Brenda (Roy) Deaton and Valinda (Dan) Johnson, one sister, Josephine Shetler and one brother, Fred Negast, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Spangler, her parents, and one brother.
The family would like to thank the staff at Franklin Park, Journey of Life, Cook Walden Funeral Home, Steed Todd Funeral Home and all of their friends for their love and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations in Flo's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
