Frances Aragon

Frances Garcia Aragon, age 86 of Clovis, NM passed away on November 1, 2013 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis, NM.

She was born on January 28, 1927 in Nambe, New Mexico to Gregorio and Ramona Romero Martinez. She was a Clovis resident since 1944. She married Bonifacio Garcia on February 9, 1942 in Encino, NM. He preceded her in death in 1969. She married Antonio Aragon in February 1979. He preceded her in death in 1982. Frances loved to knit, crochet, sew and cook. She loved to play bingo. Frances was active at La Casa Senior Citizens Center. She was very proud of being a foster grandparent with the Clovis schools. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family. Frances was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis.

She is survived by three daughters: Rose Montoya of Clovis, NM Sarita and Antonio Valdez, of Clovis, NM and Terry Deacon Joseph Garcia of Santa Fe, NM one son: Ramon Garcia of Clovis, NM two brothers: Peter Martinez of Corpus Christie, TX and Gregorio Martinez, Jr. of Denver, CO thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents her first husband, Bonifacio Garcia her second husband, Antonio Aragon one son: Dickie Garcia two brothers: Eligio Martinez and Juan Martinez and one sister: Pauline Tena.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM with Father Daniel Balizan officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, New Mexico.
