Fred Clark Edwards, age 86, of Clovis, NM entered into eternal peace on January 24, 2019 in Clovis surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 18, 1932 in Pitchfork, NM to the home of Temple and Enid (Armstrong) Edwards.
On June 9, 1961, Fred married the love of his life, Delois Carter. He was a loving and devoted husband for 57 years. After 18 years of marriage they had a daughter, Lacy. He was the best dad and Papa any kid could ask for. He even got to be a great-grandad to Colby-the light of his life. He was a true cowboy and gentleman and will be missed greatly by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Temple and Enid Edwards, and a sister, Lula Silhan. He leaves behind his loving wife, Deloise Edwards of the home; daughter, Lacy and son-in-law and buddy, Damon Smith of Clovis, NM; brothers, Richard Edwards of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Edwards of Murchison, TX, and Forrest Edwards of Lubbock, TX; sisters, Tennette Arnold of Lubbock, TX, Dina Thompson of Mora, NM and Shirley Hancock of Levelland, TX; 2 granddaughters, Shaleigh Smith and Katelin Smith of Clovis, NM; 1 great-grandson, Colby Prucey of Clovis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
