George Scales

George Russell Scales, 91 of Clovis, N.M. went home to be with his heavenly Father while at his home on April 10, 2013. Funeral Services have been scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM with Dan Borwick, officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Garden of Memories cemetery in Clovis, NM.

Mr. Scales was born March 7, 1922 in Taiban, NM to William H. and Estella Scales of House, NM. He was a WW2 Veteran where he served in the U.S. Army as a Diesel Mechanic. He married Dorothy Jean Hatcher of Clovis. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1970. He later got remarried toThelma Cernnutt on July 6, 1973. He worked for the Clovis Police Department for 20 years and then worked for the City of Clovis in the Traffic Department for 15 years where he later retired. He was a member of Faith Christian Family Church of Clovis. He enjoyed being around family and his animals. He always made sure that those around him were always taken care of in time of need.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Estella Scales his father: William H. Scales his first wife: Dorothy Jean Scales Brothers Tommy Scales, Luther Scales, Eugene Scales, Warren Scales and Charles Scales Sisters: Annie Echols and Ruth Miller.

George is survived by his wife, Thelma Scales of Clovis, NM his brother Joe Scales Lourae of Farmington NM his sons Stanley Scales of Seattle, WA, Danny Scales Donna of Denver, CO, Mike Scales Nancy Scott Of Clovis, NM and Robert Scales Tonia of Clovis, NM. Daughters: Pam Allen of Texas, Marcella Admire Walter of Crosstimbers, MO and Tammie Beidelman Gary of Tularosa, NM. A Stepdaughter: Suzanne Thrasher Harold of Clovis, NM and Stepson: Kenneth Morris Gina Marie of Fritch, TX twentythree grandchildren, twentyfour great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
