Georgia Corbin

Georgia Corbin, 87, of Clovis, New Mexico died Friday, August 3, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born October 14, 1919 in Lipscomb, Texas to Clyde Blanche Loyd Ware.

She grew up in Mclean, Texas and married James Jack Corbin February 6, 1937 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She moved to Quay County in 1938 where her and Jack were custom combiners. The lived in Quay and Curry counties.

She is survived by her son Monty Corbin Barbara of Fort Worth, Texas; 2 daughters, Tracy Jung Roland of Washington State and Jackie Caron Steve of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father in 1989; her mother in 1998; her husband in 1982; 3 sons, Joe Don Corbin in 1947, Jimmy Clyde Corbin in 1938 and David Corbin in 1942 and her sister, Echo Mackechnie in 1963.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Greg Corbin, Jim Caron, John Caron, Glen Corbin, Donnie Caron Alex Jung and Great Grandsons, Jacob Corbin, Joshua Corbin, Chris Caron and Steve Caron.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Dr. Joel Horne officiating. Burial will follow Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, New Mexico.
