Services for Georgia Davis Stone will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Mike Knowlton and Steve McMeans officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Steed Todd Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Barry Fisher, Richard Stone, Gayland Gossett, Ricky Smith, James Herrington and Virgil Gossett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Holt, Kevin Fisher, and G.A. Gossett. Mrs. Stone passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Lovington, New Mexico. She was born May 30, 1918 in Pleasant Hill, New Mexico to Fay L. and Alma Mae Crume Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ft. Stockton, Texas. She married Richard F. Stone August 24, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico.

She is survived by her daughter Cleta Ruth Sharp and her husband Gayle of Fort Stockton, Texas; son J.E. Stone and his wife Kathy of Slaton, Texas; daughter Rita Fisher and her husband Leo Dodd of Roswell, New Mexico; ten grandchildren James Herrington; Wendy Brown; Georgina Kyle; Richard W. Stone; Kyla D. Stone; Barry K. Fisher; Marie M. Rion; Jeremy Likes; Doris Rashad; and Karen Holt; twenty six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Norma Jo Likes and a son Richard Lawson Stone.
