Gerald King age 64 of Clovis passed away on May 26, 2008 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. He was born April 25, 1944 in Portales, New Mexico to Lee and Sue Gonzalez King. He graduated from Portales High School and went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University where he received his Bachelors Degree and then his Masters Degree. He married Jauquetta Bryant October 1, 1966 in Ruidosa, New Mexico. He worked as a D.J. for Norman Petty, KTQM, in Clovis, and KENW in Portales. He later went to work as a accountant for the Department of Energy at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He enjoyed sand surfing, shooting bow and arrow, and photography. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his mother Sue Crume of Clovis.
Services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Don Matherly officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
