Gerald Williams

Gerald C. Williams of Clovis, NM, died at the age of 80 on Thursday, December 16, 2010, following a lengthy illness.

Gerald was born in Clovis, NM, on December 30 1929. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1947. He then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later during the Korean Conflict.

Gerald received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Gerald worked at the Bureau of Land Management in Forestry in Salmon, Idaho. Later he was a manager in Equal Opportunity Administration serving in Washington, D.C. and Denver, Colorado. After retirement, he moved to Alamogordo, NM and later back to Clovis, NM.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sandi Starkey Williams his daughters, Linda Nelson of Montu, NJ and Anita Wiles of Mechanicsville, VA his son Gary Patty Williams of Woodbridge, VA his sister Billie Bill Aucutt of Clovis, NM and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Allen Williams a brother Garten Allen Williams, Jr. and a daughter, Candice Williams.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
