Gilbert Lopez Jr.

Gilbert Lorenzo Lopez Jr. Gebo, 32, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Thursday July 24 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born July 2, 1976 in Portales, New Mexico.

Gebo was a loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his family. He would ride bikes with his children, play catch especially loved coloring with Alyssa. He was always smiling, laughing joking around. He was loved by everyone and was always there for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Trujillo-Lopez; 3 children, Xavior, Davina Alyssa; his father, Gilbert Lopez Sr. and companion Mildred Tapia of Clovis; his sister, Minnie Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona; brother Martin Cain Lopez of Clovis; nieces nephews, Jacklyn, Jaylyn, Donovan D. D., Aubriana, Veronica, Laureanna, Marissa and Isiah and numerous aunts uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lopez; his grandparents, Benito and Annie Chavez and Lorenzo Lopez; an uncle, Emilio Slick Chavez and cousin, Mark Magic Moreno-Chavez.

A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29 with mass following at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico. A rosary will also be recited on Monday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Paul Apodaca, J. J. Chavez, Christopher Apodaca, Johnny Lopez Jr., Anthony Chavez and Timothy Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Isiah Carver, Austin Cobos Lee Lopez Jr.
