Glen Bost

Glen Bost, 95, of Weber City, New Mexico, died April 4, 2008 at his home. He was born September 30, 1912 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma to John and Lula McDonald Bost. He married Lillian Southern November 8, 1931 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Glen and Lillian were married for 74 years. They moved to Curry County in 1940 where Glen ran a dairy and he had farmed and ranched in the Weber City area since 1940. Glen loved working on the farm, helping his grandkids with their show animals and he enjoyed spending time with family.

Glen was preceded in death by Lillian in 2005; his parents; 4 sisters, 1 grandson; 1 son-in-law, W. W. Bill Southard and 1 daughter-in-law, Rita Bost. Survivors include 2 children, Anna Southard of Weber City, New Mexico and Gene Bost of Clovis, New Mexico; 1 brother, Flynn Bost of Purcell, Oklahoma; 1 sister Azalee Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 8 grandkids and 21 great grandkids.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico with Cecil Bunch officiating.

Casket bearers will be his grandsons and honorary casket bearers will be all his friends and neighbors in the Melrose community.
