Glenn Reed

Glenn D. Reed, 85, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. He was born October 2, 1924 in Bladen, Nebraska to Arthur A. C. and Eva Oberg Reed.

He grew up on a farm in Nebraska and moved to Hastings, Nebraska for a period of time. He entered the U. S. Navy in 1943 and was discharged in 1946. He had been a resident of Clovis since 1947. He married Manila A. Stephens July 27, 1947 in Clovis. He had worked many different jobs with Civil Service and retired January 1, 1987. He loved going to church, working in his yard and helping his neighbors. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter, Sharon G. Reed and son, Stephen L. Reed both of Clovis and sister, Lorene Legg of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; 2 brothers; 1 sister and 1 nephew.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Alan McAlister and Rev. Dick Ross officiating.

Honorary casket bearers will be all members of Adult 4 and 5 Sunday School classes at Central Baptist Church.

Service
