Gracie Barnes

alignjustify Gracie D. Barnes, 81, passed on to Heaven, Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her home in Clovis. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis with Pastor Doug Brooks officiating. Interment will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Viewing will be at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

alignjustify Gracie was born April 10, 1926 in Tatum, NM to Asa and Della Breckon. She lived in Tatum on the family ranch until she married T. L. Barnes on April 16, 1944. Together they raised four children. Both retired from Civil Service; Gracie in 1987.

alignjustify She is a member of Parkland Baptist Church. She loved to work in her garden, cook for her family, and watch her grandchildren grow.

alignjustify She is survived by her husband, T.L. Barnes of the home; four children, Joy Bobby Ough, Ronnie Denise Barnes, Teri Patrick Winsor, and Jim Patsy Barnes. She has nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ace and Della Breckon; her sister, Asa Bea Oliver; her brother, Alvin Breckon; and nephew, George Ervin.

alignjustify Casket Bearers will be Kevin Barnes, Steven Stroud, Patrick Winsor, Pat Birch, Bill OHeren, Kelly Henderson, Ron Barnes, Jim Barnes, and Keith Henderson.

alignjustify Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Foundation.
