Gregoria Sanchez

Gregoria Sanchez age 82 of Clovis passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born May 9, 1926 in Balmorea, Texas to Pilar and Severana Gomez Sanchez. She married Jesus Venagas June of 1946 in Pecos, Texas. They moved to Portales where she worked as a waitress. They later moved to Kermit, Texas and came to Clovis in 2005 where she lived until her death. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, knitting, cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed- Todd Chapel with Alan Urioste officiating. Burial will follow at the Portales Cemetery in Portales, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Manuel Escaciga, Evander Diaz, Rudy Diaz, Jr., Eddie Venagas, Santiago Urioste and Adrian Martinez.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rosa Medrano of Odessa, Texas; Sara Garcia and her husband Jesus of Midland, Texas; and Mary Diaz of Seminole, Texas; Thirteen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.
