The center of her life was her relationship with Jesus and her family. She raised four boys who remained faithful to the Lord. She was an avid artist and did well both in oil water paints. She was also an avid reader and read every Louis Lamour book and also enjoyed reading poetry. She worked as a Harvey Girl in Belen Las Vegas, New Mexico and Winslow, Arizona She met Clyde at a coffee shop in Belen and they married August 21, 1936 in Belen. She was a school teacher prior to becoming a Harvey Girl.
