Helen Willis

Helen M. Willis, of Clovis, NM, passed away on December 9, 2015, in Farwell, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, with the Reverend Lemuel Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery.

Helen Willis was born in Texico, NM, to Charles and Sophia McDaniel on January 11, 1928. She graduated from Texico High School in 1945. She married Kenneth Willis on July 22, 1948.

Helen was a homemaker and accomplished seamstress. She was an educational assistant at Bella Vista Elementary School from 1974-1976. She worked at First Federal Savings and Loan until her retirement. She was an active member in her church and taught Sunday School for many years. Helen enjoyed playing games with friends, and going to lunch at the Senior Meal Site.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Willis and brother Leon McDaniel.

She is survived by her son, Frank Willis and wife, Jeanene; daughter, Judith Glikas and husband, Chuck; sisters Grace Whitehead and Esther Ferguson and husband Ronny; grandchildren, Wesley Willis, Joshua Willis, Wendy Lorenzen and husband, Steven; Jason Glikas and wife Leslie; Joel Glikas and wife Emily; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Lorenzen, Avannah Lorenzen, Ryleigh Lorenzen, Michael Lorenzen, Madalene Lorenzen and Phoebe Lorenzen.

Pallbearers will be Guy Massena, Cipriano Chavez, Mike Robinson, Eddie Miller, Johnny Chase, and Doug Stoddard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Owen, Lowell Brockmeier, Joe Lumbrera, Jim Roman, and Tom Mandeville.
