Herbert Jones

Herbert, age 65, was born July 29, 1944 to Herbert Hub and Pansy Jones in Clovis, New Mexico and went to be with our heavenly father February 23, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center.

He was a known farmer and rancher and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Melrose, New Mexico. Herbert lived in the Field Community north of Melrose his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, gardening and playing dominoes.

Herbert is survived by his wife of 35 years Ella Mae Hester Jones 2 sons Brandon Amy of Melrose and Bert of Texico, New Mexico 4 grandchildren Jouie, Aaron, Saigen and Tristan 2 brothers Dale of Melrose and Jack of Clovis: 3 sisters Quenna Fred Cox of Arlington, Texas, Clara Joe Zinda of Porter, Texas and Freda Jones of Denver, Colorado.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church of Melrose conducted by Rev. Durward Wofford and Rev. Rick Parker. Interment will be at the Melrose Cemetery.
