Hilaria Apodaca

Hilaria "Lala" Apodaca, age 87, of Clovis, NM entered into eternal peace on December 13, 2018. She was born on July 20, 1931 to the home of Luis and Aurelia (Velasquez) Marez of Encino, NM.

Lala is preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Duran Apodaca; sons, Raymundo Apodaca and Jimmy Apodaca; her parents Luis and Aurelia Marez; as well as her brothers, Marcos, Jacobo, Luis, and Alejandro Marez; sisters, Frances Gonzales, Julia Martinez, Dulcinea Garcia, Rosa Garcia and Lupe Marez; and great-grandson, Anthony Amorella.

She is survived by her daughters, Erma (Jack) Amorella, Ruby (Paul) Sena, Gloria (Marcos) Martinez, and Katrina (Cruz) Lopez; daughter-in-laws, Bertha Apodaca and Lisa Apodaca; Eight Grandsons, five granddaughters, seven great-granddaughters, and eleven great-grandsons. As well as one great-great grandson.

Hilaria liked crafting, and bingo. She will be missed by many, including her family at Retirement Ranch.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Steed Todd Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited on Monday, December 17th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Mission Garden Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Pallbearers will be Ray Apodaca Jr., David Amorella, Jimmy Apodaca Jr, DJ Lopez, Luis Griego, and Joseph Garcia.
