Honel Cross

Honel Elmer Cross, 65, of Clovis, NM passed away on January 2, 2017 in his home. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Viewing will be held at Steed Todd Funeral Home Wednesday 4, 2017 from 9:00am-4:00pm, with visitation from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Funeral services will be held on January 5, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Broadview Church of Christ with Jerry Powell of Broadview Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery in Bellview, NM. Arrangements are under the care of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Honel Cross was born in Clovis, NM to Arnold Lloyd and Lula Johnston Cross on October 20, 1951. He went to school in Grady, NM. He married Guadalupe Aguilera Cross on November 26, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV. Honel worked as a truck driver for 24 years. He was awarded the Priefert Certificate from Gebos Ranch Equipment and the Perfect Performer of Locomotive service Inc.

Honel is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lula Cross; son, Dustin Cross; brother, Arnold Cross, Jr.; sister, Elvis Cross Shields; brother-in-law, Travis Shields; his niece, Crystalynn Tapaha Cross; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Cross; son, Boots (Michele) Cross of Bonham, TX; 1 daughter, Amanda Lee; 2 step-sons, Gus (Tabitha) Ozuna of Abilene, TX, and Nick (Maria) Alcozer of Pampa, TX; 2 brothers, Ayrel Don (Peggy) Cross of Clovis, NM, and Mike (Jovie) Cross of Bushland, TX; 10 grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. They always called him "Uncle Hons."

Pall bearers include: Boots Cross, Gus Ozuna, Nick Alcozer, Colt Cross, Michael Reid, Bret Cross, Kelly Tindle, Kordell Tindle, and Don Cross.

Honorary bearers include: Locomotive services Inc and Wayne Reid.
