Memorial Service for Horace Hobbie Coffman age 60 of Farwell, Texas will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. CST at Hamlin Memorial United Methodist in Farwell with Pastor Jay Roberson officiating. He was born May 21, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas to E.R. Weedy and Joyce Barker Coffman. He passed away at his home in Farwell on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Private family burial will be held at a later date at the Oklahoma Lane Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Camp, Bobby Chadwick, Les Harrelson, Dusty Leatherwood, Charles Widner, Bob Arnold and Bill Roberts.
Horace graduated High School from Farwell High School in 1966. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a ConductorBrakeman from 1974 1987. He was a Cowboy all his life and enjoyed roping and rodeo events.
He is survived by his children, Darren W. and wife Donna L. Coffman of Edgewood, New Mexico; Laura R. and Wayne Harpold of Lawrence Kansas; Clinton W. and wife Angela Coffman of Kansas; and Lyndsey D. Coffman of Florida; his former wife Linda Cheryl Coffman of Liberty, Missouri; sisters Sharon Joy Gallon of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Melody Jayne Drake of Friona, Texas; Alice Jean Ewald of Sun lake, Arizona; Arlene Gay Klump of Lubbock, Texas; and April Dawn King of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by son Justin Lee Coffman, Brother Frankie Gordon Coffman, and his parents.
