Ima Joe Grubaugh, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at St. Anthony's Healthcare in Clovis, New Mexico. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home, 800 E. Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico. Services will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1320 West 21st Street, Clovis, New Mexico at 2:00pm with Pastor Dustin Burrow officiating. Burial will follow services at Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery in Clovis, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Eric Grubaugh, Clay Beevers, Richard Rolan, Lloyd Rolan, Robert Fields and David Kelly.

Ima Joe was born on July 27, 1926 in Henrietta, Texas to Mary Francis (Brown) Rolan and Charles Franklin "Big Charlie" Rolan. She was the last survivor of Charle's fifteen children. Ima Joe had 8 brothers and 6 sisters. She stayed in contact with her siblings until their deaths and also kept in contact with many nieces and nephews.

Ima Joe was the daughter of a farmer. She grew up near Edna, Texas before her parents moved to Causey, New Mexico. She attended school and worked on the family farm until she moved to Portales, New Mexico. In 1948, she met a good looking young man at Midway Dance Hall. She married Elston "Crowbar" Grubaugh on March 9, 1949. Together they farmed southwest of Clovis until Elston's passing in 1995. In addition to life on the farm, she worked at several jobs in Clovis including Katie's Cafe on Mitchell street and Walgreens on Main Street. She remained on the farm caring for Elston's mother. After Muriel's death, Ima Joe retired to her home in Clovis, New Mexico. She continued to enjoy her flower gardening, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and caring for her great-granddaughter.

Ima Joe is survived by her daughter Jolene Beevers of Clovis, New Mexico, son, Elston Kent (Mary) Grubaugh of Yuma, Arizona, granddaughter, Brenda Beevers of Clovis, New Mexico, grandsons, Clay (Erika) Beevers of Albuquerque and Eric (Ashley) Grubaugh of Indio, California and great-granddaughter Gracie Beevers of Clovis.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Donna Petree for the quilting enjoyment she shared with mom. Also, to all the wonderful people at Presbyterian Home Healthcare and St. Anthony's Healthcare.

Ima Joe Grubaugh was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 65 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Methodist Church, 1320 West 21st Street, Clovis, New Mexico 88101 - 4155.
