Jack Clewis, age 58, of Texico, NM passed away on May 5, 2014 in Lubbock, TX.

Jack was born on January 1, 1956 in Clovis, NM to Bobby Bryant and Betty Stelzig Clewis. Jack was raised in Clovis and the surrounding areas. He joined the United States Navy on April 27, 1973 and was discharged on May 13, 1977. He married Peggy Rose in 1979. Jack worked various places before he became a journeyman plumber. He then married Sandra Roden. He loved racing, woodworking, fishing and spending time with his friends.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Clewis of Aztec, NM his mother, Betty Cumpton of Texico, NM sister Peggy Allen Peterson of Muleshoe, TX three brothers: Jerry Clewis of Texico, NM, William Eillene of Diamond, MO and Tommy Cumpton of Texico, NM various aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at SteedTodd funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM with Rick Rainey officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX. Casket bearers are Gilbert Chavez, David Maxwell, David Roden, Kevin McDonough, Jeremy Williams, Ryan Stelzig and Caleb Stelzig. Honorary casket bearers are all members of AMVETS.
