Jack Carroll McFarland, a beloved and devoted father, grandfather, and brother went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Jack was a Clovis native and lifelong resident. He was born December 25, 1930 to Benjamin L. and Jewel C. McFarland.

He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. After the service, he worked for Duffys Photo, where he and Duffy became lifelong friends. As his mother and Aunt Ruby aged, he dedicated his life to taking care of them as he was taken care of by his loving daughter, Carole Perry until his death.

Throughout his life he had many various interests and achievements one of his proudest was attaining his 34 years of sobriety. His sobriety was the gift of life. The last 12 years of his life, he was a very dedicated Garden Gate greeter at Walmart. His mission in life was always to enchance and touch the lives of everyone he came in contact with. His motto and the attitude he portrayed was The Best is Yet to Come.
