James Brown

James Hoyet Brown, age 93, of Taos, New Mexico, passed away on March 29, 2012 at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, New Mexico.

James Hoyet Brown was born in Lubbock Texas on September 25, 1918 to Joseph
Howell and Margaret Brown. He married to Maxine Robertson on December 20,
1940. He is survived by one son: Jimmy H. Brown and wife Bobbye Harden Brown
one sister: Betty Mayberry of Arch, NM five grandchildren: Jamie Brown of Angel
Fire, NM, Christie Brown OHanlon and her husband Barry O Hanlon of Virginia
Beach, Virginia, Connie Jones and her husband Robert Eames of Alamogordo,
NM, Carrie Jones and her husband Dave lamb of Bakersfield, M0 and Michael
Jones and his wife Theresa of Florida, along with great grandchildren and many
nephews and nieces living in the Clovis, New Mexico area.

Hoyet was preceded in death by his wife Maxine, one infant son Charles Lee and Daughter Marie Brown Jones sisters: Jenny Petty of Clovis and Stella Mae Ward of Idalou, TX and granddaughter: Sandra Lynne Brown of the US Virgin Islands.

Hoyet and Maxine attended the Central Baptist Church for many years and are
remembered for their special kindness of support for the Baptist Childrens Home
in Portales, NM.

Cremation will be held and private interment will occur in Oklahoma Lane, Texas
at a later date.
