James Wallace Fraser, age 85, of Clovis, NM passed away on May 8, 2014 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM.
Wallace was born on October 11, 1928 in Amarillo, TX to James and Georgia Reed Fraser. He married Lena Murle Queener June 6, 1946 in Grady, NM. He retired from Farmers Electric after twentythree years of service. He worked for Curry County and was a retired bus contractor for the Grady Schools. He was a member of Grady Baptist Church and a longtime member of Grady Volunteer Fire Department. Wallace loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Lena Murle Fraser of Wheatfields in Clovis, NM three daughters: Kathy and husband Bill Hanson of Ruidoso, NM, Cindy and husband Charles Burleson of Georgetown, TX and Tammy Fraser of Grady, NM four grandchildren: Kevin Wood wife Vicki, Angela Autrey husband Emmitt, Justin Fraser and Michele D. Burleson and five great grandchildren: Rett, Alisha and Alizabeth Autrey and Madison and Kaden Wood.
Wallace is preceded in death by his father and mother one brother Ray Fraser one son Tom Fraser and many brothers and sisters in law.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Grady Baptist Church in Grady, NM with Greg Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Sours, Wesley Grau, Larry Don Rush, Jimmy Ware, Hoyt Rush, Ronnie Stoner and Tom Mackechnie. Honorary pallbearers are all of Wallaces friends and neighbors.
