James Steward

James Lee Steward was born is Clovis, NM on July 21, 1956 to Albert and Mercie Lee Steward of Texico, NM. He received Christ into is life and he was a member of New Light Baptist Church of Farwell Texas. After rededicating his live back to the Lord, He became a member 0f the Church of God of Clovis, NM where he and his family attended. James later moved to Tucson Arizona where he lived and cared for his daughter Jamie Steward. James worked for the Cerebral palsy Organization of Tucson as a caregiver and loved his job.

Survivor include: His three sons, James Steward Jr., Christi Folomh Steward, Tynel Deshaw Steward, and two daughters, Jamie L. Steward, and Shanaya Steward. One grandchild: Jade Lee Steward. His mother, Mercie Lee Steward, three brothers, Bobby Steward, Albert Steward Jr., Joseph Saul Steward, and six sister, Alma Maxwell, Betty Gonzales, Carolyn Lash, Geraldine Marlow, Pastor Marie Jones, Debbie Thoe, a very special Mattie Poe and family and numerous of nieces and nephews. He also had many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded by his father Albert Steward, Grandmother Rosie Williams, Grandfather,

Emard Williams, and one sister Rosie Lee Carroll Vann.

Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Christ with Rev. Ronnie Lash officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Vann Sr., Ronnie Vann Jr., Joshua Steward, Barry Lindly, Steve Askew, and Jordon Marlow. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
