James Tom Fraser, 53, of Grady, New Mexico, died Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born July 6, 1955, in Clovis, New Mexico to Wallace Lena Murle Queener Fraser.
He lived in Grady all his life and graduated from Grady High School in 1973. He married Tammy Jobe January 11, 1980 in Grady. He was a school bus contractor for the Grady Schools and also worked for the Curry County Road Department for 17 years. He was a member of the Clovis Elks Lodge 1244, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3245 and Sons of the American Legion Squad 77 in Logan, New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Fraser of the home in Grady; 1 son, Justin Fraser and wife Jennifer of Abilene, Texas; his parents of Grady; 2 sisters, Kathy Hanson and husband Bill of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Cindy Burleson and husband Charles of Marble Falls, Texas.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Grady Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn Bittner officiating. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Jim Bob Bowman, Danny Henry, Lee Thomas, Bill Baldridge, Manuel Quintana, Tom Mackechnie, Eric Rush and Hoyt Rush.
