Jane Burchett

Altha Jane Burchett 90 of Clovis, NM passed away February 3, 2008 at Clovis Healthcare Rehabilitation in Clovis, NM. Altha Jane was born in a small town in Kentucky on April 2, 1917 to Albert Rhea Morris. She married Noel Burchett in 1959 in Clovis.

Jane was one of a kind; she enjoyed dominoes, bingo, doing crossword puzzles and most of all having a good conversation. She made friends wherever she went throughout her life. One of her greatest loves was her cat Shadow, whom was her companion for many years.

Jane played many roles in her lifetime, just to mention a few; she was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt friend to many. She was very independent but was also very sensitive to others their feelings. She will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include two nieces of Clovis, Mary Case Rose Ritchie; three nephews, Dewey Chiles of Longmont, CO, Tommy Donny Walker of Tacoma, WA; two great nieces both of Amarillo, TX, Rhonda Craven Lori Nolan, and one great nephew of Amarillo, TX, Ronnie Hutton.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; Alberta; two sisters Nan Walker and Mary Fidella Chiles and her husband.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Steed Todd Chapel in Clovis with Pastor Dan Borwick officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, NM.

Casket bearers will include Charlie Ritchie of Clovis, Donny Craven of Amarillo, Jeremy Isiah Nolan of Amarillo, Francis Steve Warner of Clovis.
