Janet Helwig-Sims

Janet HelwigSims, age 67, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away January 20, 2012 at her residence in Clovis, New Mexico.

Janet was born on January 21, 1944 in Roy, New Mexico to Herman and Helen Ruth Hooper Unruh. She married James E. Sims on November 28, 2009 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a longtime Clovis resident and worked for several years in the commissary at Cannon Air Force Base.

She is survived by her husband, James, of the home one daughter: Pamala Michael Norberg of Casper, Wyoming one son: Troy Kimberly Helwig of Clovis, New Mexico two stepdaughters: Meredith James Clever of Clovis, New Mexico and Cathleen Paul Gonzales of Clovis, New Mexico three brothers: James Nina Unruh of Houston, Texas, Carl Unruh of Tucumcari, New Mexico and Robert Unruh of Grove, Oklahoma grandchildren: Coy Ebell, Travis Mead, Hannah Helwig, Tessa Helwig, Michael Norberg and J.W. Norberg and one great grandson: Trea Mead.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Orland Helwig.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Garry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Roy Cemetery in Roy, New Mexico.
