Manana, Clovis, New Mexico 88101br575-763-5541brbrAdditional information: Janices light came into this world on a beautiful spring day. Herbrlife path would take many tragic turns and many joyous adventures. She was diagnosed with mental retardation at the age of six. Her loving parents, charter members of the Curry County Association of Retarded Children, were instrumental in the creation of the Developmental Disabilities Service System for the State of New Mexico, starting one of the first day habilitation programs in their garage and the first supported living programs in Clovis in the early 1960s. Janices light on this earth is reflected in the countless lives changed for people with developmental disabilities across the entire State of New Mexico today. Janice was a governing Board member of the Silver Bullet Civitan Club where she donated many hours helping people in need. The Salvation Armys Carolers at Christmas could not do without Janices strong voice and creative lyrics. People who entered Janices life loved her joyous laughter, her feisty nature, and her desire to make things better for everyone. She was attended until her death by her loving family who faithfully assure Janice comfort and great love as she journeyed to her home in the clouds.brbrAnyone wishing to pay final respects to Janice is welcome to visit at SteedTodd Funeral Home on Friday evening, August 26, 2005, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A memorial service is also planned in Albuquerque.
