The one and only Jeffrey R. Baum of Brooklyn, NY and Clovis, NM is now at peace. Jeffrey passed away at home on July, 23, 2020 surrounded by those he loved.
Jeffrey was born to excited parents, Sam and Shirley Baum (Radler) on March 15, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York.
Jeffrey gained a full ride scholarship to ENMU in Portales for track, and competed in events such as cross country running. Jeffrey would spend his summers as a lifeguard on Coney Island while in College. Jeffrey earned a masters degree in psychology from ENMU.
Jeffrey married his closest friend and the love of his life, Pam (Mills) Baum on April 21, 1971 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Together Jeffrey and Pam had two wonderful children, Shana and Camron Baum. In Jeffrey’s lifetime he sold life insurance through Union Central for Erwin and Associates and was the Clovis wide church softball league director in the summers. Jeffrey, who was Jewish, would do a Passover dinner for his church family from First United Methodist Church. Pam and Jeff would sell tickets for this dinner, benefiting the church, and providing the fifty people that went each year, a hands on experience and beautiful look into the traditions of Passover.
