Jerry Bell

Jerry Don Bell, 84, of Clovis, passed away on 5-13-15 in Clovis. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, May 14th at Steed Todd and also at the home 2404 Fairway Terrace.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday May 15th at 21st Street Church of Christ with Ken Cable, assisted by Bill Morrison. Officiating burial will follow at Lawn Haven.

Jerry was born in Farwell to Horace and Fredona Bell on November 6th 1930. He went to school at Clovis High. He married Marcia Foster on Dec 26th 1954 in Clovis. He worked as a farmer/rancher in Curry County for over 60 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the army. He was involved in Clovis Jay Cee�½s, Curry County Fair Board, a Deacon at 21st Street Church of Christ for 20 years, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Board and Curry County Wheat Growers. He received the outstanding Young Farmer Award.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Horace and Fredona and Brother Jackie Bell.

Jerry is survived by his wife Marcia of 60 years, sons Jerry (Jady) Don Bell Jr., Jack and Kim Bell and daughter Jill and Jace Denton, with niece Lisa and Allen Crouch, with grandkids Eric and Michelle Denton, Ashley and Kevin Allen, Corey and Abbey Bell, Keeson and Kaci Bell, Courtney Bell, and Kelby and Seth Simmons, and also survived by the joy of his life, his great grandkids Brigz, Kayleigh, Anniston, Linley, Raleigh, McKenzie, Denton and one Baby Bell (Keeson and Kaci) on the way!

Pallbearers will be his 6 grandkids Eric, Ashley, Corey, Keeson, Courtney and Kelby, who he loved more than life itself. Honorary pallbearers are all his great friends in life.

Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to the Boys Ranch in Amarillo and the Christian Children�½s Home in Portales or charity of your choice.
