Jerry Conner

Jerry L. Conner, age 73, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on June 11, 2012 at Clovis Health Care and Rehab in Clovis, New Mexico.

Jerry was born on May 25, 1939 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Walter Lee and Marjorie Murphey Conner. He served his country by joining the Army National Guard. Jerry met his wife, Stephanie Preston, while he was driving a tour bus at Disneyland. They were married on July 3, 1980 in Folkestone, England. Jerrys favorite job was driving tour busses. He worked as an exterminator and as a substitute teacher. Jerry enjoyed working with kids. Jerry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints since 1962 and served as an elder. He was a resident in the Clovis community for over 20 years.

Jerry is survived by five sons: Richard Ricky Wayne Conner of Wyoming Artemio Olga Conner of Denver, Colorado, Ricardo Alma Faviola Conner of El Paso, Texas, Robert Lovena Conner of El Paso, Texas and Walter Graciela Conner of El Paso, Texas three daughters: Shirley Kruger of Tempe, Arizona Nancy Jane Conner and Alma G Alfonso Ramirez of Canutillo, Texas nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Stephanie and two daughters: Carol Ann Kruger and Nancy Gonzales.

Funeral Services are at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at The Church of Christ of LatterDay Saints in Clovis, New Mexico with Bishop Brad Heath officiating. Open casket visitation for Jerry will begin at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Casket bearers are Walter Conner, Robert Conner, Artemio Conner, Steven Conner, Alfonso Ramirez and Carlos Conner. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, New Mexico.
