Jerry Cox

Jerry Cox age 61 of Clovis was born August 12, 1947 in Portales, New Mexico to Andrew and Marie Wells Cox. He passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at St. Anthony Healthcare in Clovis. Jerry grew up in the Portales area and graduated from Floyd High School. He worked for the Clovis News Journal and in construction. He worked the majority of his life with the Clovis Municipal Schools in the maintenance department for 26 years, and retired in April of 2008. He enjoyed fishing, guns, hunting and especially time with family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 23 years.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Cox of the home in Clovis; two daughters Jerri Scott Neeman of Florida, Kim Larry Hughes of Clovis; four grandchildren Ariel and Anthony Neeman of Florida, Cody and Kyle Hughes of Clovis; one brother Clenon Cox of Portales; two sisters Nelda Mullins of Clovis, and Glenda Calder of Texico, New Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.

Viewing will take place until 8:00 p.m. today and tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
