Jerry Hanks

Jerry Spud Hanks, 61, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Friday, December 4, 2009, at Plains Regional Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1948 in Waco, Texas to Roy Dorothy Byrd Hanks.

He married Linda Deeter July 13, 1989 in Clovis. He was a longtime Clovis resident and worked for Poor Boys Steakhouse for 12 years as the Cook Manager and owned the Spudnut Shop with his wife. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of AMVETS.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; 1 daughter, Alisha; 2 stepsons, Gary Smith Gina of Roswell and Steve Smith Christy of Germany and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Don.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
