Jerry Kelly

Jerry Dean Kelly, age 87, of Clovis, NM was called by the Lord to enter the kingdom of Heaven on March 10, 2019 in Farwell, TX with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 3, 1931 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to the union of William Levi and Alberta Perkins who have preceded her death.

Jerry professed Christ at an early age and was baptized under Rev. Kent at St. John Baptist Church in Lake Providence, LA. She attended St. John Church until she was in the 4th grade and then continued at Hollybrook Elementary School. Jerry later graduated at East Carroll Parish Training School in May of 1950. She migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked at the Pfister Hotel. In 1954 she united in marriage to Lee Leslie Kelly. To this union they had 6 children, Fred, Patricia, Beverly (Renzie), Lee Leslie (Linda), Cynthia and Linda Kelly

Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Kelly; her son, Fred Kelly; 3 brothers, W.L., Eddie and Alfred Perkins; and her sister, Ethel McConnell.

Jerry leaves to mourn her 5 children; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Fred (Ethel Mae) Perkins; 3 sisters, Annette Veney of Los Angeles, CA, Maxine Harold and Rev. Mary Washington of Clovis, NM and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Steed Todd Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Her Going Home Celebration will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019, 11:00am at Patterson Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 3211 Cesar Chavez.
