Maxine was reunited with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2007. She served as an Angel here on earth to all those that she touched. Maxine's devotion, unconditional love and faith will now be serving Jesus Christ and used to serve His purpose in Heaven.

Maxine, also known as Macky, Max and 'Mema Mac' was born on January 10, 1922 to Joseph and Margaret Dean Robertson in Lariat, Texas. She grew up in Lariat with her eight brothers and sisters. As a young person she worked at her parents Post Office and general store and fell in love with the Pepsi-Cola delivery man who would later become her husband and father of her children. According to Maxine's high school annual she loved to dance, play basketball and perform in plays. She was referred to by her classmates as jolly, fun and a true friend.

Maxine married James 'Hoyet' Brown on December 20, 1940 in Clovis, NM. Their children include Jim Brown, Charles Lee, and Marie Jones. She and Hoyet were also foster-parents to many children over the years and she injected their lives with hope and faith.

Maxine was a hair stylist for over 40 years and brought fun and laughter to anyone who visited Maxine's Beauty Shop.

Maxine is remembered as being a kind, gentle soul who did not have an enemy in this world. She always found the good in everything and everyone. Maxine loved children and brought joy to all young people especially her grandchildren. She loved soap operas, pink roses and knitting. She was an inspiration to all who treasure life and its blessings, both big and small. Maxine will always be remembered as a woman of great faith who shared her faith with all those she touched.
