Jewel Ruth Bubba Freeman, age 92, of Clovis, New Mexico, entered into rest at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 2, 2011. Ruth was born on August 1, 1919 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Sylvester and Perle Banister. Ruth loved to sew and garden. She loved animals and cared for many. She worked in the restaurant business all her life. She started as a waitress and worked her way up to management. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clovis.
Ruth is survived by three sons, Arnold Freeman of Batesville, Texas, Tommy Freeman of Clovis, New Mexico, DeWayne Freeman and his wife Jackie of Clovis, New Mexico and one daughter, Bonnie Jones eight grandchildren one brother, Chock Banister of Clovis, New Mexico two sisters, Melzine Worm of Clovis, New Mexico, and Alma Silvertooth of Valleyview, Texas.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Perle Banister one sister, Gracie Rue and eight brothers, Ersie Banister, Ivan Banister, Vester Banister, Louis Banister, Melvin Banister, Elvin Banister, Grady Banister, and Ralph Banister.
Services for Ruth are scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the SteedTodd Chapel with Dr. Bergstrom, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
