Jim Newman

Jimmie Newman, age 73, of Clovis went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, March 31, 2018. He was born on December 23, 1944 in La Mesa, Texas to the home of Buck Newman and Helen (Carr) Newman.

Jimmie loved working out in his yard and took great pride in doing so. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his step-son Gary and his granddaughters, Hannah, Megan, and Allie. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. He loved his family dearly. Jimmie made the best out of life even through everything he endured. He always smiled and never held back. Jimmie loved watching his granddaughters play volleyball along with his loving wife Delma. They never missed a game. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Delma Newman of the home; his step-son Gary Kibbe and his wife Debbie of Clovis, NM; and his two loving granddaughters, Megan Dawn Jameson and Allie Elizabeth Kibbe; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Hannah Brooke Kibbe.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Clovis with Pastor Tyler Hicks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawn Haven Memorial Garden Cemetery in Clovis. Serving as Casket bearers will be Gary Abernathy, Tyler Cabeldue, John Evans, Larry Moreno, Shonrie Newman, and Randy Rhue.
