Jimmey Gallegos

Jimmey Frank Gallegos, Age 60, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on May 15, 2014 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

Jimmey was born to Tony and Vera Beltran Gallegos on April 16, 1954 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was raised in Denver, Colorado where he met Helena. He moved with her to Clovis, and married her on March 4, 1979 in Farwell, Texas. Jimmey was a brick layer for most of his life, and he loved to go fishing, drinking, and enjoyed recycling cans. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos.

Jimmey is survived by his wife Helena Gallegos of Clovis, New Mexico three daughters, Adella and Husband John Castillo of Clovis, New Mexico, Angelica and husband Lionel Guerra of Friona, Texas, Tammy Gallegos and Husband Robert Garza of Clovis, New Mexico. His Parents Tony Gallegos, and Vera Aragon of Clovis, New Mexico. Three brothers Tony Gallegos of Colorado, Antonio Gallegos, and Gilbert Gallegos both of Clovis, New Mexico 4 sisters, Sue Torres, Corine Gallegos, Nettie Trujillo, and Della Gallegos all of Clovis, New Mexico. Twelve grand children, two great grandchildren, and a special friend, Carole Johnson of Clovis, New Mexico. He also helped raise two of his grand children, Miguel Escamilla, and Armando Fernandez of Clovis, New Mexico five god children, Eugene Torres, Monique Fernandez, Alejandro Vargas, and Francisco Gutierrez.

He is preceded in death by his sister Judy Garcia.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers are Tony Gallegos, Antonio Gallegos, Gilbert Gallegos, John Castillo, Lionel Guerra, Robert Garza, Miguel Escamilla, Armando Fernandez, and Ruben Torres.
