Jimmye Louise Neely Donahey

Jimmye Louise Neely Donahey passed away Monday morning, November 3, 2014 at High Plains Regional Hospital.

Jimmye was born on December 10, 1923 in Pleasant Hill, New Mexico to Henry Mason Neely Sr. and Elsie Cross Neely. Her young years were spent on her parents farm and in 1941 she graduated as valedictorian from Pleasant Hill High School. After graduation she attended the Goodman School of Business College and on March 24, 1942 Jimmye married Ray Albert Donahey and they made their home in the Pleasant Hill community until moving to Clovis in early 1950. Jimmye worked at the Federal Land Bank in Clovis for 37 years retiring in May of 1989. Her retirement years were spent updating the family genealogy, spending time with her 5 greatgrandchildren, her church, and traveling, of which Branson, MO was her favorite destination. Jimmye was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Jimmye was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Mason Neely Sr. and Elsie Cross Neely, her husband Ray Donahey and her brother Henry Mason Neely Jr Buster.

Jimmye is survived by one daughter and son in law, Judy and Leon Balch of Rio Rancho, NM, a granddaughter and husband, Tracey and Roddy Williams of Ft. Collins, CO, a grandson, David Balch of Rio Rancho, NM and five greatgrandchildren, Kelsy Balch of Clovis, NM, Tieg Balch, Mason Balch and Keyoko Balch of Rio Rancho, NM and Sydney Williams of Ft. Collins, CO.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday November 6th, at Lawn Haven Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of SteedTodd Funeral Home and Crematory, 800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico 575 7635541.
