Jo Williams

August 21, 1933 — May 1, 2010

Jo Ann Williams, age 76, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis with Ken Cable and Larry Tittle officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Cremation has taken place.

Jo Ann was born to Glen S. and Lillie Tunnell Williams on the family farm southwest of Grady. She grew up in Clovis and attended Eugene Field Elementary School, Grady Public Schools and Clovis High School, graduating in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Billy Neil Williams, December 7, 1951. Bill was in the U. S. Navy, so their first home was an apartment in Providence, Rhode Island.

Jo Ann was immersed into Christ at age 13 and was a faithful servant of her Lord until she went to be with Him last Saturday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents brothers, Charles J. Williams, James R. Williams, Jack A. Williams sister, Glenda Gail Williams Blackwell and sisterinlaw May Lea Morse Williams.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband of 58 years one daughter and soninlaw, Laura Gail Quentin Smith of Houston, Texas three sons, Mark Williams, Brad and Jan Lyle Williams all from Clovis and Jeff N. Williams from Denver, Colorado.

Jo Ann is also survived by seven grandchildren Erica Charlie Bernal, DeLani Williams, Kyle Sonjia Williams, Tanner Williams all of Lubbock, Texas, Jeremy Candee Williams, Ryan Lori Williams, all of Amarillo, Texas and Kelli Kevin Watterson of Fort Worth, Texas six great grandchildren Jordan and Lauryn Williams of Lubbock and Kelby Williams and Tanner Satterfield of Amarillo, Kaitlynn and Autumn Watterson of Fort Worth, Texas one sister, Wanda Williams Horton sisterinlaw, Naomi Brandon Williams both of Clovis one brotherinlaw, Earl Blackwell of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will all miss Jo Ann very much
