Joann Garcia

Joann Garcia, age 54, of Clovis, died on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico. She was born on November 7, 1956 to Jack Wade Slaughter and Prebble Imogene Jaquess Slaughter in Fort Ord, California.

Joann was a biker, very down to earth and made friends very easily. She tried to take care of everybody including her nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed doing genealogy research, archery, and loved the mountains.

She is survived by one daughter, Carla Knight of Clovis one brother, Billy Slaughter of Clovis two grandchildren, Misti and Sierra Killough, both of Clovis. She is preceded in death by her parents one daughter, Cheryl Kay Graham two sisters, and a nephew.

Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19 at SteedTodd Funeral Home. No services will be held. Cremation will take place.
