Joe Davis

Joe Roy Davis, age 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his home in Clovis surrounded by his family. He was born on December 20, 1929 to the home of Joe Lawrence and Edna (Hall) Davis in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He worked for the railroad for many years and retired. His all time favorite thing to do was woodworking and he enjoyed fixing anything. He also enjoyed camping and loved to visit Branson, Missouri.

He is survived by his two daughters, Donna (Tommy) Doolittle of Broadview, NM and Karen (Greg) Burns of Clovis, NM; two brothers, Jimmy (Winnie) Davis of El Paso, TX and Goerge (Diane) Davis of Clovis, NM; grandchildren, Trent Doolittle, Shayla Slatunas, Cory Burns, Kyle Burns, Trey Burns, Melissa Glade, Christopher Davis, and Brittany Leverett; and 18 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Joyce; two sons, Roy and Wayne Davis; two brothers, Cecil Davis, and Bruce Davis; and two sisters, Patsy Everson, and Darline Stein.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. �½ Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 21st street Church of Christ in Clovis, New Mexico with Lupe Naceanceno, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Lawn haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are his grandsons, Trent Doolittle, Kyle Burns, Michael Glade, Cory Burns, Trey Burns, Christopher Davis, and Tim Slatunas.
