Joe Garcia

Joe Mike Garcia, age 73, of Clovis, NM entered into eternal peace on July 19, 2018 in Clovis with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 15, 1945 to the home of Marcelino and Maria (Marquez) Garcia in Clovis.

Joe worked civil service for Cannon Air Force Base for over 30 years until his retirement. Upon leaving CAFB he worked at La Casa Senior Center until March 2018. Joe was also very well known for being a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. He will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Preceding his death are his parents, Marcelino and Maria Garcia; brothers, Raymond Garcia, Pat Steve Garcia (infant); and sisters, Marcella Lopez, Gloria Garcia (infant).

He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosalie Garcia of the home; son Joe M. Garcia of Clovis; daughters, Angela (Arnoldo) Contreras and Regina (Edna) Entenzo of Clovis; brothers, Ernest Garcia, Robert "Butch" (Christina) Garcia, Gilbert (Sharon) Garcia and Leo (Peggy) Garcia of Clovis; sisters, Juana (Robert) Cordova, Isabell (Blane) Smith, Carolyn Garcia of Clovis and Darlene Garcia, Judy Samora of Santa Rosa, Molly (Louise) Urioste of Portales; plus 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday and Tuesday, July 23th and 24th from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday, July 25, 2018, 9:00am to 8:00pm at Steed Todd. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Garcia, Ernie Garcia, Joseph Ricks, Saloman Contreras, Juan Baltazar, and Mytrice Williams. Honorary bearers are Raquel Contreras, Marrisa Contreras, Nadia Ricks, Elisa Youngquist, Havenn Garcia, Cassie Garcia, Jr. Garcia, Carter Youngquist, Michael Youngquist, and Penelope Youngquist .
