Joe Gutierrez

Joe Chris Grouchie Gutierrez, age 62, of Clovis, NM passed away on January 15, 2014 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM.

Joe was born on November 23, 1951 in Santa Rosa, NM to Manuel and Eusebia Duran Gutierrez. He worked for Main Street Conoco for over thirty years. He also worked for Cannon Air Force Base at the Landing Zone. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved spending time with his family and he loved fishing. Joe was a member of the Eagles. He enjoyed playing bingo, scratchoffs and going to casinos.

He is survived by three daughters: Melissa and Raymond Woodson of San Antonio, TX, Shauna and Martin Sigala of Clovis, NM and Victoria and Isaac Castillo of Clovis, NM two sons: Robert Gutierrez of San Antonio, TX and Chris Gutierrez, Jr. of Apple Valley, CA six sisters: Lucy and Mike Leyba, Helen and Lupe Bryan, JoAnn Gutierrez, Tina Gutierrez, Maurice and Ralph Archuleta, and Renee Gutierrez all of Clovis, NM four brothers: Steve and Darlene Gutierrez of Clovis, NM, Pete Gutierrez of Ruidoso, NM, Albert and Fidelia Gutierrez of Clovis, NM and Jesse and Dee Dee Gutierrez of Clovis, NM fifteen Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents one brother: Anthony Gutierrez and one grandson: Xzavier Salcido.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM. Communion Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers are Ralph Archuleta, Martin Sigala, Anthony Gutierrez, Joe Archuleta, Alphonso Gutierrez, Eddie Gurierrez, Chuck Gutierrez, Tommy Sena, Shonta Hall and Damion Aburto. Honorary pallbearers are Joes grandchildren: Nollie, Jarrin, Bella, Vanessa, Lulu, Aaliyah, Carly, Jeremy, Joshua, Jacob, Justin, Jayden, Julian, Jessica and Destiny.
