Services for Joe Scott Haseloff age 49 of Farwell, Texas will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 at St John Lutheran Church in Lariat, Texas at 10:00 CST with David Symm officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, Texas. Pallbearers will be Gary Haseloff, Ted Hairgrove, Tom Beekman, J.D. Hileman, Mike Ratke, and Anthony Joplin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Diaz, Steve Kaltwasser, Butch Buchanan, Tony Boney, Reyes Gonzalez, and Dr. Benny Phillips.
Joe was born March 10, 1959 in Clovis, New Mexico to Henry and Pat Shuman Haseloff. He passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 at Lake Brownwood, Texas. He graduated from Farwell High School in 1977 and went on to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He came back to Farwell to farm the family farm. He married Laurie Summers October 5, 1985 in Clovis, New Mexico. He went to work for the Clovis Fire Department in May of 1996 and was currently employed there as a Driver Operator Paramedic. He was very proud that he was one of the first to receive his Paramedic license from Texas Tech University. Outside of the Fire Department he was part owner of Five County Ag Services currently known as DeBruce Ag in Farwell and still farmed. He was a member of St John Lutheran in Lariat where he held previous offices and member of the Farwell Volunteer Fire Department. He loved participating in competition cook offs, fishing and he and Laurie enjoyed setting up for the farmers market from their yearly harvest from their vegetable garden.
He is survived by his wife Laurie Haseloff of Farwell, Texas; two sons Michael Haseloff of Arlington, Texas; Nicholas and Alisha Haseloff of Gainesville, Texas; one granddaughter Ella Haseloff of Gainesville, Texas; two brothers Robert and wife Linda Haseloff of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mark and wife Vicki Haseloff of Sachse, Texas; mother-in-law Marjorie Summers of Clovis; sister-in-law Robyn Fontenot of Clovis; aunt Robbie Williams of Farwell, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
