John Lord

September 27, 1957 — September 8, 2015

John Stanley Lord, 57 of Clovis, New Mexico, was born September 27, 1957, and passed away on September 8, 2015.

John was the son of Austin and Geraldine Lord, both deceased.

He is survived by his brother, Jack and sister-in-law Katherine. The family of Patricia Castillo, her daughters Shawna Perales and Monique Nanez, and grandchildren Marina and Miranda Tapia and Alex Carillo, loved John and generously made him a member of their Clovis family.

John graduated from Las Cruces High School with the class of 1976 and remained a Bulldawg until his passing. John served his country in the United States Navy and, in his younger days, served as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, most notably with the Fairacres Volunteer Fire Department. John was a devoted fan of the Seattle Seahawks and is probably still shaking his head after their Super Bowl loss in 2015. John leaves a legacy of friendship and generosity to all those with whom he came in contact.

The families of John Lord wish to extend their sincere thanks to the VA Nashville Renal Transplant Team and St. Anthony's Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Clovis.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Steed-Todd Chapel. John will be buried at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
