Johnnie Williamson

Johnnie O. Williamson, age 64, of Clovis, a beloved mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Johnnie was born to Emmit W. Hudson and Flora Ann Turner Hudson in Clovis, NM, on July 1, 1946, the youngest of five children. The family moved to California shortly after her birth, and she met and married Gary E. Williamson in 1965. They raised two children, Deanna Wornell of Portales, and Kevin Williamson of Washington, D.C.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Williamson her father, Emmit Hudson her mother, Flora Ann Monk sister, Sherry Mountain and brother, Emmit Hudson, Jr.

She is survived by her two children, Deanna Kirby and Kevin Stephanie seven grandchildren, Susan Potter Joey, Tess Callaway, Cassandra Earle, Leslie Ballauer, Shene Nicholes Johnny, Brandon Zopfi Amanda and Kristian Williamson seven greatgrandchildren two sisters, Pauline Wolfe and Pearline Tanner stepmother, Phyllis Hudson two stepbrothers, Myron Janice and Robert Ronnie several nieces and nephews and lots of great nieces and nephews.

Johnnie loved working in the yard and gardening. She loved sewing, embroidery, crocheting, making jewelry, doing ceramics, photography, and decorating her homes. She also enjoyed baking and canning. She enjoyed spending time with her family, kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at Central Christian Church, 1528 S. Main St. in Portales on Saturday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m., to say their final goodbyes with Pastor Dave McVey presiding over the service.
