Johnny Chavez

Johnny Joe Patrick Chavez, 52 of Clovis, NM passed away Thursday May 18, 2017, at Plains Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.

A Rosary will be held 10:00am, Monday May 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Angelo Marquez officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Gallegos, Jimmy Gallegos, David Marez, Teddy Marez, Jose Lopez, Cecilio Lopez, Adan Chavez, and Steve Garcia.

Johnny was born August 8, 1964 in Clovis, NM to Victor and Patsy Chavez. He went to TVI in Albuquerque, NM for Drafting. He did amazing designs out of his home for several businesses and homes in Clovis. Johnny loved and enjoyed listening to Tejano and New Mexico Music. He was one of the Raiders biggest fans.

Survivors include: his parents; Victor and Patsy Chavez, 3 brothers; Toby Chavez, Henry Chavez, and Roland (Leslie) Chavez all of Clovis, NM, 2 sisters; Regina Chavez (Carlos) and Monica (Manuel) Segura, both of Clovis, NM; 12 nieces and nephews, 2 great-nephews; 1 great niece; and numerous Tia's and Tio's.

He is preceded in death by: his brother Ronald D Chavez; his grandparents; Jose Inez and Erlinda Chavez, Andronico and Beatrice Baca, Primos; Mario Chavez, Leo Chavez Jr, Gene Chavez, Gino Chavez, Andy Chavez, and Francisco Baca, uncles; Abelino Chavez and Ernest Baca, and aunt; Mary Chavez. Honorary Pall Bearer is Andres Lopez.
