Jose Quirino Galvan was born in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico on June 3, 1923. He migrated to the United States in the late 1940s with his wife Maria Trinidad MorenoGalvan. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage on June 9, 2012. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, NM. He retired from Cargill Packing Company and spent his retirement years growing his own garden and canning his harvest for the winter. He took great pride in his hard work and his family. His favorite saying was One prepared man is worth more than ten men waiting to see what tomorrow may bring.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, parentsinlaw, one brother, two brothersinlaw, one sisterin law, four sons: Antonio Galvan, Ramon Galvan, Quirino Galvan and Manuel Galvan two daughters: Cecilia Galvan and Rosalinda Galvan and two granddaughters: Monica Galvan and Aliya Inocensia Galvan.
He is survived by his wife, Maria eight sons Vincent Galvan, Frank Delia Galvan, Isidro Christina Galvan, Javier Toni Galvan, Gustavo Debbie Galvan, Ray Maria Galvan, Ralph Pauline Galvan and Ruben Leticia Galvan one daughter: Maria Hortensia GalvanMarquez twentyfour grandchildren , thirtyeight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, NM. Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, NM with Father Sotero Sena, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX.
